led.tokyo × BAKUMAE collaboration

Based on illustration, illustrator/artist baku maeda creates works using a variety of approaches, both two-dimensional and three-dimensional.

led.tokyo will be developing collaboration items with baku maeda for “International Coming Out Day” on October 11th.

This product is created with the theme of "Be yourself", which is the message that led.tokyo wants to convey through this item, and baku maeda's "expression of diversity".

This art work combines “rainbow” and “camouflage”, which represent “multicolor” and “diversity” and is also a motif of LGBTQ+,

Rather than the characteristic of camouflage, which is "a way to blend into the surrounding landscape, deceive the enemy's gaze, and avoid being detected,"

I create this work with the message that I want people to embrace their own individuality, which is made up of a variety of colors that overlap.

 

``AS I AM'' on the back means ``As I Am'', so that the wearer can spend time without hiding anything.
While we are conscious of the design that helps people express themselves, we create items that can be easily worn by anyone, regardless of gender.
